It has more than 9000 members who belong to 29 Rural Health Clubs at universities throughout the nation. They include students from medical, nursing and allied health courses.
The NRHSN offers multi-disciplinary networking, professional development and opportunities to raise community awareness of health issues.
Funded by the Australian Government, the NRHSN is supported by Rural Health Workforce Australia.

 |
The NRHSN has been invited to submit a multi-discipline team to compete in the HealthFusion Team Challenge at the University of Queensland on Friday 17th September. Each team will present a pre-prepared patient management package in front of an audience and panel of judges.
We congratulate Heather Hanks (RHINO, Medicine), Steph Frazer (MARHS, Physiotherapy) and Tess Griersmith (NOMAD, Medicine and former Nutrition/Dietitics) for being selected as the team to represent the NRHSN in the Challenge, and we wish them all the best.

 |
The NRHSN has created the Rural High School Visit website to assist Rural Health Clubs. It explains how to run a Rural High School Visit, includes an electronic version of the new RHSV Kit, and shows the latest visits.
The site is also a great resource for high school students, teachers and parents who want further information about the program.
