The National Rural Leadership Development Seminar enables allied health, nursing and medical students to come together in a truly multi-professional arena, to be provided with specific skills needed to excel in career paths in rural and remote Australia.
NRLDS assists students who already have an interest in rural health to take on leadership roles in rural and remote communities. By upskilling and inspiring students within the field of rural health, this event will develop a new generation of leaders to take on careers in rural and remote communities as well as champion the way for improvements in rural and remote communities
The 2011 NRLDS will be held in Victor Harbour, SA on 4th-7th August. It will be held as a three day seminar consisting of a range of interactive sessions and workshops designed to provide students with leadership skills directed at rural health.
All members of Australia’s 29 rural health clubs and 20 medical school societies will be invited to apply for NRLDS 2011.
NRLDS 2011 applications have now closed. Successful applicants will be notified via email on Friday 15th July and will have 48 hours to confirm their attendance.
