Cultural Awareness As health students completing placements in rural, remote and Indigenous communities it is beneficial to complete some form of cultural awareness training prior to going on these placements to help prepare you for these experiences and to help you make the most of these opportunities. Therefore we have gathered some useful links to cultural awareness training that is offered online and around the country.
ACRRM's Cultural Awareness Training
ACRRM’s Cultural Awareness Training module is designed to provide medical practitioners with the opportunity to understand medical practice from an Indigenous perspective and to work towards improving Indigenous patients’ confidence and wellbeing. Upon successful completion of this course, practitioners can begin claiming the Practice Incentive Payments (Indigenous Health Incentives). Read more here.
