AURHA

The Adelaide University Rural Health Alliance (AURHA) is a multidisciplinary student run club that aims to promote rural health and provide educational opportunities for its members. Since the formation of the club in 1993, membership numbers have grown to over 450, and our committee now numbers around 15-20! Originally known as the Adelaide University Rural Medical Society (AURMS) the club has expanded to become multi-disciplinary. This year a major aim for AURHA is to provide more innovative and interesting opportunities relevant to our members in all fields, with more focus on our expanding dentistry, oral health and nursing members.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in rural health, be they from the country or the city. Health related courses at the Uni of Adelaide include: Medicine, Dentistry, Oral health, Nursing, Health sciences and Psychology. We also aim to keep in touch with our alumni and the other rural health clubs in Adelaide, FURHS and ROUSTAH.

Members also have the opportunity to benefit from AURHA's relationship with other rural health organisations. For example, this enables them to take part in activities held by the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency and to spend a day with the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

For further information about AURHA or any of our activities you can check out our magazine ‘Rouseabout’, or contact our NRHSN Senior Representative.  Or visit the AURHA website.
