BREAATHHE
Breaathhe, The University of Newcastle Rural Health Club, consists of 450 members from a range of health disciplines such as; Biomedical Science, Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health, Pharmacy, Radiation Sciences, Speech Pathology and Social Work. Breaathhe holds many social and educational events throughout the year. Some of these include; Skills Nights (offering practice in suturing, CPR, plastering, cannulation and venepuncture), Welcome Cruise, First Aid Course, weekend trips to UDRH Rural Areas. The club also helps fund students to attend rural Conferences throughout Breaathhe values their collaboration with other health clubs at the university, such as Medsoc and the GP Club, and co-presents events such as the Skills nights and Speaker nights and co-sponsors students to conferences. Breaathhe also values the networking opportunities, guidance, advice and contributions offered by the academics, local hospital and health professionals and local GPs who actively support our club.
