RHINO

Club RHINO (Rural Health in the Northern Outback) is the Rural Health Club at JamesCookUniversity in Townsville, North Queensland.  It was founded in August of 2000 when Occupational Therapy and Pharmacy had just accepted their second intake of students and the School of

Medicine was only eight months old.  Now RHINO consists of over 500 members from Speech Therapy, Nursing, OT, Pharmacy, Medicine, Psychology, Biomedical Science, Social Work, Physiotherapy & Speech Pathology.

RHINO organises guest speakers and educational evenings to promote awareness of rural health issues.  A number of other educational events are held throughout the year include a combined trip to Rockhampton with TROPHIQ and a second semester trip to an exotic location in
North Queensland!  Social events include various BBQs, trivia nights and last but definitely not least the much awaited COCKTAIL PARTY!

For further information please go to the RHINO website or contact their NRHSN Senior Representative Surabhi Khosla
