RHPOSITIVE

Welcome to Rural Health Positive (Rh+)

Rural Health Positive (RH+) is a cross-campus rural health club for health students studying at Charles Sturt University. We are unique in the huge area we cover, connecting students not only from our campuses in Bathurst, Orange, Wagga Wagga, Albury, Dubbo and Port Macquarie, but also online. We’re not only geographically diverse, but also feature students from just about any health discipline you can think of! We also work in close collaboration with our UDRH, Three Rivers.
Our mission is to promote and advocate for rural health workforce issues among our students and the wider local community. Through scholarships, health and cultural training programs, interdisciplinary networking opportunities, and fun volunteering experiences, we aim to support both current and future rural health students.
Importantly, we are committed to engaging with and supporting rural youth and Indigenous communities. Each year, we run rural high school visits and host an Indigenous cultural event to build connections and inspire the next generation.
RH+ seeks to reshape the narrative around rural health training and employment — fostering vibrancy, diversity, and opportunity among emerging health practitioners.
