Event Review: Mental Health Night

The Mental Health Night was a cosy event this year, attended by 34 students who got to have an engaging discussion with some fantastic speakers. Leonie Auld spoke exquisitely of her own personal story, and the journey with major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder type II. Neal Bodel from Lifeline detailed a recent study of mental health in FIFO workers and how change may be brought about in this area. Finally, Tom Joyner from ICEA focused on discrimination and its effect on the mental health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. His focus was more on how these attitudes can be changed. Thank you so much to all the people who attended and provided feedback on the event!
