Rustica Rural Pathways Evening 2016

Rustica recently hosted its first ever Rural Pathways Evening, which was a great success! John Flynn, RAMUS scholarship and Bonded students were in attendance. Speakers included current John Flynn and RAMUS scholars, who spoke of their rural experiences and the challenges that they faced, as well as answering any students questions.

Rustica president Ben Dodds spoke regarding the UTAS Rural Clinical in Burnie. MIPS was in attendance and spoke about the elective cover that they offer for rural placements. ACRRM also attended, and students really appreciated the opportunity to ask further questions about the John Flynn program, as well as ACRRM’s other programs.

Students were able to mingle over dinner and chat about their rural placements with other students, and swap some of their memorable anecdotes!

The event was enjoyed by all, and we are grateful to MIPS and ACRRM for assisting us in making it possible!
