FRAME June 2024
Kurtis Gray – Co-Chair
This year Pip and I were invited to attend and present at the Federation of Rural Australian Medical Educators (FRAME) in Canberra. It was an incredible honour to discuss issues pertaining to the future rural health workforce with the heads of the Rural Clinical Schools from across the country, members of the Department of Health and Aged Care and other prominent researchers.
The purpose of the conference was regarding solutions to the shortage of GPs in rural areas, from training to working conditions. We presented data regarding the student GP placement experience that was collected from our most valuable asset, our members (example of the data below). Overall this conference was an incredibly beneficial and worthwhile experience for all of us.
Thanks again to RCSWA and FRAME for inviting us to present at the conference.
