Rising Star Award

The Rising Star in Rural and Remote Health Award recognises a student or early-career professional who has done exceptional work to improve health in rural and remote areas. The nominee should have implemented or contributed to innovative approaches to healthcare delivery, understand the social factors affecting rural/remote health, and be good at collaborating with others to improve health outcomes for rural/remote communities.  

Mandatory Criteria:  

  • Nominee must be an individual. 
  • Demonstrate cultural responsiveness (see appendix). 
  • Activities must have taken place during the period July 2023 – June 2024.
  • In areas designated between MM3-7 of the Modified Monash Model of classification (see appendix).
