Rustica Semester 1 Skills 2016

In May Rustica hosted its annual 1st Semester Skills event. It was highly successful with 33 students attending and practicing skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, suturing, otoscope/opthalmoscope and vital signs.

They were tutored by the 4th and 5th medical students from the University of Tasmania, an arrangement that builds peer support within the university and engages the older students. Rustica will eagerly hold its 1st semester skills day again next year.
